Made for little hands. Loved for a little longer.

ABOUT THE JOY STORY

Little companions.
Room to grow.

Handmade cotton toys, original stories, and a little world of wonder. Made for the moments children and grown-ups discover together.

Welcome to Mishi’s Jungle Kingdom.

IT BEGAN WITH MISHI

A little niece.
A world of inspiration.

Mishi is our founder’s niece, the inspiration behind The Joy Story, and the little person at the heart of Mishi’s Jungle Kingdom. She gives this line its personal beginning: a wish to create companions and stories for a childhood full of curiosity, connection, and care.

The line is imagined with Mishi in mind, but with room for every child to make it their own. An elephant becomes a patient gardener, a puppy finds joy in a quiet moment, and a giraffe discovers something wonderful by looking down. Each friend has a name and a personality, while the next adventure belongs to the child.

Mishi also inspires the thoughtful parenting ideas that run through our world. The question behind them is a simple one: how can the things we make invite grown-ups to slow down, pay attention, and enjoy discovering alongside a child?

That is the spirit we hope travels home with every little companion: something to hold, a story to share, and a reason to spend a little more time together.

THOUGHTFUL PARENTING, EVERY DAY

A little more presence.
Room for their own pace.

For us, thoughtful parenting means making space for the child in front of you: noticing what catches their attention, listening to what they are trying to express, and leaving room for them to try things in their own way. It is an invitation to parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and everyone who helps a little person grow.

In play, that might mean asking what a toy is thinking and waiting for an answer. It might mean reading the same story again, following a new ending, or letting a quiet moment stay quiet. There is no need to turn every game into a lesson or every afternoon into a planned activity.

Our stories offer little openings for these moments. Gappu’s garden makes room to talk about patience and caring for something small. Other adventures invite kindness, curiosity, and looking from a friend’s point of view. The toy starts the conversation; you and your child decide where it goes.

WHAT WE CARE ABOUT

Growing gently, together.

01 / CONNECTION

Be there for the little things.

Thoughtful parenting begins with noticing. We make room for shared stories, listening, laughter, and letting a child set the pace. Play can simply be time spent enjoying each other.

02 / CURIOSITY

Let the questions wander.

A leaf, a colour, a new word: everyday things can open up a whole conversation. Our stories invite children to explore, try again, and discover the world in their own way.

03 / CARE

Love what you have.

We want care to be part of growing up: care for a friend, a little plant, and the things we bring home. Choosing thoughtfully, looking after a toy, and mending when possible are small ways to begin.

INDIAN ROOTS. ORIGINAL ADVENTURES.

Stories that feel
close to home.

We take inspiration from India’s tradition of animal storytelling, including the Panchatantra’s interest in friendship and everyday wisdom. The adventures in Mishi’s kingdom are our own, imagined for a new generation of little listeners.

In The Little Patch of Tomorrow, Gappu and Mishi give an old cup a new purpose, learn to wait for a seed, and explore familiar Indian plants and trees. English and Hindi names sit side by side, making room for language, nature, and conversations across generations.

ROOTED IN MYSA JAIPUR

Made with care.
Connected to our roots.

The Joy Story is the intellectual property of Mysa Jaipur. Our little world grows from Mysa’s work with handmade fabric creations and the people who bring them to life.

Mysa works with rural women artisans and uses pre-production fabric waste in its creations. This approach gives us a practical starting point for talking about sustainable living: value materials, respect the work of making, and find possibility in what is already here.
